A recent graduate from RMIT with a Masters of Design (Fashion), Nicole comes from a seasoned background in Education, Photography and Fine Arts.

Growing up where suburbia meets the hilly gumtree skylines of North-East Victoria, she spent her youth climbing trees, jumping fences and learning passed-down textile crafts.

Drawn to laborious handcraft skills from a young age instilled a deep respect for traditional methods of make, the preservation of passed down techniques and a passion for ethical textile production.

Throughout her work, Nicole uses her obsession of surface design to explore ongoing themes that explore physical/psychological identity, methods for heightening creativity. Upon the completion of her Masters, Nicole is starting to question how surface design can communicate emotions, connect to elements of the unconscious and how fashion experiences can influence aspects of self.

In her many adventures, Nicole has over ten years of experience in creating digital content within the creative arts and design, including the small Melbourne label, André Vidal.
